DIGITAL ARTISTRY
Driven by the desire to evolve artistically and stay on the pulse of technical trends, I blend graphics and photography to craft unique, painterly portraits. Starting with a model photographed against a green screen, I use advanced masking and channel techniques to lift them from the background and reimagine their surroundings. To enrich the composition, I incorporate roses I’ve photographed in gardens, adjusting color, size, and positioning for a tailored, dynamic foreground. For added warmth and ambiance, I digitally painted a candle with a soft, golden glow. The final piece is refined with painterly filters like surface blur, transforming the image into a harmonious fusion of photography and digital art.
DIGITAL EDITING
Who doesn’t want to be a mermaid? This example showcases a quick, 15-minute photoshoot where, despite the client arriving late with no time for hair and makeup, I turned a challenge into a creative opportunity. With the green screen in place, I positioned the client to mimic a mermaid pose on a rock, using a stool as a placeholder. Carefully directed lighting and pre-visualized poses brought character to the scene.
In Photoshop, I layered a stock image for the tail, and waves from previous shoots, and used the brush tool in varying sizes and opacities to paint in makeup and add rich color to her hair. The final composition immerses viewers in an enchanting underwater scene.
BEFORE & AFTER
Dreams do come true! I transformed this client into an Old Hollywood-style icon with Photoshop, bringing her portrait to life in a dreamy, cinematic style.
Starting with a green screen setup, I repositioned the subject in Photoshop to bring her closer to the viewer for an immersive effect. I refined her skin using the stamp and healing tools and added highlights to her hair and complexion for a polished glow. The most intricate challenge was rendering the fan realistically, achieved through careful masking and transparency adjustments to maintain every delicate detail.
For the finishing touches, I used dodge and burn tools to sculpt the light, creating a smooth, lifelike image with a touch of vintage allure.
